Remove weapon pickup items from your San Andreas save game.


Searched up, down and all around the internet for something like this. I found not a mod to do this specific thing so I made it for myself.. Sharing it with you as well, in case it helps..


How to use:
>> Best to always make a separate backup of your save game first before doing anything like this, just in case if you need your old data again at any point in time.


Before using the mod, load the game and make a save (by picking up the save disk) preferably at the main house at Ganton (Grove street)
Exit the game, then, place the main script in the cleo folder, load the game and wait for a few seconds, afterwards the script will tell you that some weapon pickups were removed..


You can then go outside and have a look around to see that almost all weapons are no more which were left scattered around at various places in the game...

Afterwards you can then make a save (by picking up a save disk) then exit the game... After you've done that you SHOULD remove the script from the cleo folder as you will not need it anymore once the weapon items have been cleared and you made a new save.

All of this is possible because these weapon items were made identifiable as global vars so it is quite easy to track what is what in order to remove them later on if necessary...
The emmet pickup weapon in Ganton was not added to the list of items to be cleared.. Things like armour/parachutes and stuff were not added in the mod either.

With all that aside though, let's talk about this:

This is where the secondary script come into play.*
(I could have made it in the same script but since it will require Cleo plus, i decided to make it separate instead)


So in the scm there seem to be a total of 3 times where the jet-pack is created..
Twice here:
032B: 144@ = create_weapon_pickup 370 type 3 ammo 0 at 268.7 1884.1 -30.085
032B: $3243 = create_weapon_pickup 370 type 15 ammo 0 at 268.7 1884.1 -30.085
At the restricted area in the desert place... I believe there was a mission in the game to retrieve the jet-pack (likely to be this one - 144@)

Another place where the jet-pack is created but once is here: 112@ = Pickup.Create(370, 15, 431.045, 2537.78, 16.2463) At the abandoned airstrip place.
Given when you complete the Green goo mission (82)

This weapon (112@) has to be removed a different way unlike the others so I made a separate script to accomplish the removal of it anyhow. That secondary script will require you to use Cleo+ for it to work as intended though.

* Better to use the main script first, save the game, exit, remove that script from the cleo folder.
Next, use the secondary one, after checking that the jetpack is gone, save the game, exit and remove this script also from the cleo folder.. That's it, all done.
