Guardian APC (M1126 Stryker ICV) converted directly from Mercenaries 2: World in Flames. Both the model and the texture are original, taken directly from the game. I did the ripping myself and made sure to assemble the vehicle according to the original parts arrangement seen in Mercenaries 2: World in Flames.
Apparently, the vehicle was inspired by the M1126 Stryker ICV.
Along with the vehicle mod, there are two folders containing files for adjusting the truck's wheel size. Both are different solutions to the problem. One of the two folders is for use with Mod Loader. I recommend using the Mod Loader folder, as it avoids overwriting files in the game's "data" folder. READ THE "READ ME" INSTRUCTIONS (AVAILABLE IN ENGLISH, BRAZILIAN PORTUGUESE, AND SPANISH) CAREFULLY TO INSTALL THE MOD CORRECTLY.
Originally, in Mercenaries 2: World in Flames, the vehicle has and uses a 7.62mm minigun. In GTA SA, it is not possible to fire projectiles with this weapon, as the model replaces the SWAT tank which shoots water in GTA SA. However, on the internet, you can find CLEO mods that make the vehicle fire projectiles. Qwerty Van Hallen and alex59 made a CLEO mod that replaces water with machine gun projectiles. Their mod is available on MixMods. Additionally, you can search and install other CLEO mods of this type to complement your experience.
The vehicle can transport four people (driver, front passenger and two rear passengers). In addition, rear passengers perform realistic entering animation behind the vehicle and are seated correctly in the seats.
Originally, in Mercenaries 2: World in Flames, the rear door of the vehicle opens for rear passengers to enter. In GTA SA, it is not possible to make the tailgate work in the original way.
It is not possible to make CJ enter the vehicle in the same way as seen in Mercenaries 2: World in Flames.
All eight wheels work.
The lights work.
The model has realistic collision.
Updates
Version 1.1 (December 7th, 2023): Wheel normals have been corrected. Now, the wheels are correctly illuminated by the lights of the environment, other cars, etc.
Version 1.2 (September 20th, 2025): A Mod Loader file has been added to facilitate mod installation. It ensures that the wheels are the correct size. It also provides an alternative for players who prefer to avoid overwriting files in the game's "data" folder. I sincerely apologize for not adding this file sooner.
